Q: Can I follow up on the sustainability claims?

We encourage all consumers to make sustainable choices - in all purchases. At Chione, we try to be as transparent as possible and therefor happy to provide certifications and documents of all our fabrics. When it comes to batteries it gets tricky. Not because of the production, but the limits in recycling. To be honest there are very few working, economically viable technologies for recycling the majority of materials in lithium-ion batteries today. On the other hand, if disposed properly we see both regulation and technologies speeding up the development, as well as manufacturing of batteries from recycled materials. So let’s make sure that we as a consumer and business do everything according to each countries guidelines for disposal, material recovery and reuse of batteries.

Q: What can I do to increase lifespan of battery?

Store your batteries when not i use at room temperature,  that means between 20 and 25 degrees C. It is recommended that you charge your battery regularly and that you maintain at least 25% of your battery power when not in use or left idle. The life of Lithium Ion Batteries varies due to heavy use or unfavorable temperature conditions; however, most packs last for more than 500 discharge/charge cycles.

Q: How do temperature affect the battery’s playtime?

There is so much that affects the output, as temperature outdoors, your temperature, other connected devices etc.The heating times can last between 3 hours up to 12 hours depending on which setting, low medium or high. If you want to save jus, keep it on the lower setting and don’t charge your other devices at the same battery pack. If you do run out of battery, charging goes quick, usually less than two hours.

Q: Are the batteries included?

Yes, with all Chione products comes a battery and a charging cable. We don’t provide the plug though since most people have plenty of these already.

Q: Will I have issues with my Chione battery pack at the airport?

You won’t have any problems with our heated apparel or power banks in the airport, only requirement is that lithium ion batteries must be carried in your carry-on baggage, i.e not to be checked in.
